I am a biobank infrastructure and biospecimen systems specialist based in Nigeria, focused on building world-class biobanking capacity in Africa. My work sits at the intersection of biotechnology infrastructure, health systems strengthening, and translational research enablement. I was the first African awarded the QBRS (Qualification in Biorepository Science) certification by ASCP and have led biobank operations supporting over 600,000 biological samples across multi-site healthcare networks. My experience spans facility design, quality systems, cold chain architecture, regulatory compliance, and operational scale-up. I am currently building solutions that strengthen Africa’s biospecimen ecosystem—from biobank establishment and consulting to broader infrastructure models that enable research, diagnostics, and precision medicine across the continent.
